This limestone is very common in architecture and very frequently used on all types of buildings and sculptures. Its dark tones suit the current trend for a monochrome palette; it’s hard-wearing; it’s readily available and relatively easy to cut into block; and it’s very reasonably priced. However, there is one very important feature that it doesn’t stay black for long once it’s exposed to the bright sunlight.
